My wife and I recently used freecreditreport.com the check our credit". However, when we tried canceling our account, we were unable to get a hold of them/. We missed the trial period of 7 days and were charged 19?.95 for my account, 15,.95 for her account, and an additional 25,.95 to "view all three credit reporting companies|."

I called customer service and they told me these were all valid charges!. I would never use this company again, it is a scam!. They will keep you on hold or do whatever is necessary to keep you over your 7 days. 1285e87

I've seen on TV about people being confused that this was a free service, and even asked the company why they use "free" in their name when the service is not free.

They also said that annualcreditreport.com is free. By law they have to supply you with your credit report once per year. You can only get one report per year per credit reporting agency. You can choose to get all three at once, or one at a time spread thoughout the year.
