I applied for a credit card today and they refused to process it (780+ pt score - LOW debt ratio) - which has never happened". When I called the Credit Card Company they said that Equifax said I didn't exist - no such person or SS #! and that was why they wouldn't process the application/. Spent over an hour at FreeCreditReport?.com trying to figure out what the *** was going on,. All they EVER did was direct me to different parts of the site and at each juncture they wanted $$,. The site is a pain to use and you don't get anything for free (wasn't there some old addage about that?)/. What little information you can get is so minimal as to be useless|. Don't pay them a dime for the free part (which is to be refunded) because you probably don't have enough time or patience left in your life to get your $ back! annualcreditreport?.com is the government mandated site - it is FREE and VERY useful!
